The retail giant, Walmart, has expanded yet again. Walmart has teamed up with Autoinsurance.com and Tranzutary Insurance Solutions to offer “everyday low prices,” for auto insurance.
The auto insurance webpage will be found under the Money Center tab on the Walmart website. Walmart uses carriers that will be bidding for your clients business. Carriers will include Progressive, Esurance, Safeco, Travelers and 21st Century. Walmart will not sell the insurance directly.
They will only be offering the coverage in a few select states for now. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Missouri are the only states offering the “everyday low pricing,” on auto insurance.
According to Daniel Eckert, senior vice president of services for Walmart, U.S., after two and a half years of looking for areas where Walmart can bring, “everyday low prices,” to additional services, studies have revealed that auto insurance is the place to be.
"Insurance is one of our consumers’ biggest monthly expenses and many feel they are overpaying for the insurance they have and don’t know if they are getting the best coverage and the coverage they need,” he says, “We thought we could bring something to life in both of these arenas.”
Thanks to the new partnerships between Autoinsurance.com and Walmart, the website received a complete overhaul for consumers to shop and compare auto insurance pricing.
According to Kazam, of Autoinsurance.com, “We really worked diligently to take online shopping to a new level and directly integrate with carriers.”
Walmart will receive monthly fees for marketing the service in their stores and on their website.
We have to sit and wonder, what will Walmart dip into next?
