ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

Dear (Customer Name):

Can you imagine sending the following letter to all your customers?

'Dear Customer:

Last weekend an explosion destroyed all our accounts receivable records. Since we no longer know how much you owe us, please review your invoices and send us a check as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.'

The result would no doubt be a financial loss for you. You can avoid this by incorporating a special insurance policy - Accounts Receivable coverage - into your overall program. (Your Agency Name) can help you obtain this coverage, which will pay you:

1. the amount of your uncollected accounts, by an agreed-upon formula.

2. your expense in trying to collect whatever you can.

3. the interest on a loan to hold you over until a loss is paid.

Accounts Receivable insurance is usually written on a broad basis to cover such disasters as flood, malicious damage, theft, fire, and so on. We'd like to tell you more about it.

Sincerely,

Enclosure

P.S. I've enclosed several estimates for coverage for your review. Call us and we'll get you covered right away.
