Sometimes in our work we have the opportunity to serve a
segment of the population we might not otherwise have much interaction with. Bob Hallameck of OnPoint Underwriting was
recently recognized by the National Indian Gaming Association for his "service
to Indian Country" over the past 25 years.
Below is an excerpt from a recent Press Release submitted to
CompleteMarkets.
BOB HALLAMECK RECOGNIZED FOR LONG-STANDING SERVICE TO INDIAN
COUNTRY
Denver, CO (May 31, 2013) – Bob Hallameck with OnPoint
Underwriting was recognized last week by Ernie Stevens, Chairman of the
National Indian Gaming Association, for his service to Indian Country over the
past 25 years.
Over twenty years ago, Bob was a pioneer in the effort to
develop insurance programs and policies that acknowledged tribal sovereignty
and the unique needs of tribal governments and enterprises, resulting in the
development of the Program for Sovereign Indian Nations. He secured his first
tribal nation client and wrote his first policy in 1988 and his first casino
client in 1992.
Over the past 25 years, Bob has spent countless days on the
road driving to and visiting tribal governments and enterprises throughout the
lower 48 states. He truly believes his biggest contribution to Indian Country
is education to insurance companies about the need for and value of working
with tribal leaders to serve their tribal communities.
Bob had this to say about his Indian Country experience in
the past 25 years: “This has turned from being a business opportunity to my
passion to contribute to tribal economics, preserve tribal culture, and to
protect tribal lands and sovereignty.”
