The Home Inspector Insurance Program package protects home inspectors in claims arising from the allegation of wrongful acts and errors & omissions while performing real estate inspections. Policy must be written as a package with GL - program is not available for mono-line Professional Liability.

Eligible Businesses Include: Experienced individual home inspectors or home inspection firms.

Applicant Examples

Inspection and/or reporting of wood destroying insects and/or organisms
Pool & Spa inspection
Water & Septic testing
Carbon monoxide testing, including cracked heat exchanger
Inspection and/or reporting on the condition of new construction and/or code compliance, lead and/or lead based paint, presence of radon, presence of mold, newly constructed structures and their compliance with government building and construction codes.

Submission & Underwriting Requirements

Signed application, must be signed even for a quote
Brochure or website, providing information on services offered
Loss History (three years)
Copy of their standard inspection contract
Must be a member in good standing with a state or national association such as NACHI, ASHI, NAHI, etc.
Must have taken and passed a state or national inspection exam
If new in business without prior inspection experience we may consider with at least 3 years construction industry experience
