Home Inspector Insurance

Home Inspector Insurance Program

Insurance Program Managers Group (IPMG) offers a specialized Home Inspector Insurance Program tailored to meet the unique liability exposures of professional home inspectors. Designed as a package policy, this program combines Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) and General Liability to help protect your clients from claims arising out of alleged wrongful acts, errors, or omissions during residential or commercial property inspections. Note: Mono-line Professional Liability coverage is not available—General Liability must be included.

Ideal Accounts and Appetite

This program is an excellent fit for experienced individual home inspectors and established home inspection firms. Eligible applicants typically offer a range of inspection services, including but not limited to:
  • Wood destroying insect or organism inspections
  • Pool and spa inspections
  • Water and septic system testing
  • Carbon monoxide testing (including cracked heat exchangers)
  • New construction inspections, code compliance, radon testing, mold evaluations, and lead-based paint assessments
If you have a client who has transitioned from the construction industry into inspections, they may also be considered—especially if they have at least three years of relevant construction experience.
